Q: How much of the vitamins should I give my pet?
A: The recommended maintenance dosage for a pet that weighs less than 5 lbs. is a half wafer/serving daily. Pets 5 to 100 lbs. need one wafer per day, and those over 100 lbs. need two wafers daily. If your pet is suffering from an illness you may increase the amount or give it to them twice a day. Remember, it is not possible to give them an overdose but for maximum effectiveness, doubling the recommended dosage is sufficient.

Q: What is the Nuvet AutoShip program?
A: Our AutoShip program allows you to receive a 15% discount off of our wholesale price. It is an automatic refill of your NuVet Labs® supplements and the shipping frequency is calculated according to the number of dogs you have and how many supplements they each get per day. You may cancel at any time for any reason with no fees or penalties but as long as you stay on the program you will receive the 15% discount.
Q: Can NuJoint Plus® be given with NuVet Plus®? What is the difference?
A: The ingredients in the NuVet Plus® and NuJoint Plus® do not overlap. NuVet Plus® is a more general multivitamin and supplement that helps boost your dog's overall health, helping with things such as skin and coat problems (allergies, itching & scratching, hotspots, etc.) while also strengthening the immune system, skeletal structure, and nervous system. NuJoint Plus® is a hip and joint therapy that is specifically formulated to focus on the bones and joints. It is primarily used for either larger breed or older dogs, although many of our customers use it in conjunction with the NuVet Plus® even if their dog is not experiencing any current problems (it works great preventatively). Our suggestion would be to use the NuVet Plus®, since it is a more complete supplement and helps with many different things, bones and joints included. Then, if you feel your dog needs extra support with his/her bones and joints, we would recommend incorporating the NuJoint Plus®.
Q: Why does my vet tell me not to use NuVet Plus®? My pet’s food already has the “same” vitamins, is it okay to give extra vitamins?
A: Many veterinarians have been trained in the study of medicine, and are therefore very prone to explore a medicinal course of action in response to an ailment, instead of taking a holistic approach. Additionally, even with the highest quality foods; cooking and heat are part of their manufacturing process. This process alone kills off vital and naturally occurring nutrients from many of the ingredients. Like vegetables, when you cook them, you cook away crucial minerals, enzymes, and vitamins. This is why many food companies may add synthetic vitamins. Unfortunately, synthetic vitamins are not absorbed the same as are natural vitamins (like those contained in the NuVet Plus®). No ingredient in NuVet Plus® is ever cooked or heat treated. Take, for example, the chicken liver. We use real chicken liver that is paddle-dried using a patented process. This ensures the fragile Vitamins A, E, B1, Digestive Enzymes and Omega Fatty Acids are not destroyed. This “cold-processing” of NuVet Plus® ingredients also ensures it is easy on the metabolism of your pet (easy to absorb and process). This is why the multivitamin supplement is still necessary and beneficial for your pet, even if they are getting the best food on the market.
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?

Q: Do NuVet Plus® and NuJoint Plus® have to be given with food?
A: NuVet Plus® and NuJoint Plus® can be given at any time of day, with or without food. They can even be given as a treat, once daily. NuVet Plus® and NuJoint Plus® contain all-natural, human-grade (non-synthetic) ingredients that will not have any negative reactions with any medications your pet may be taking.
Q: Do you accept payment via PayPal?
A: Yes. To do so, please first contact our customer service department. To submit your payment via PayPal, please direct the payment to paypal@nuvet.com. However, AutoShip orders must be paid for using either a credit or debit card.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: We have a 60-day return policy. You must call our office to obtain a return authorization number before returning any product to us. We will issue a refund to the original method of payment used, once we have received the returned product to our facility. If you are not satisfied with our product, you may return it for a refund of the product price. To receive a refund, you must first contact our office for a return authorization number. The return number must be clearly marked on the outside of the box. The customer is responsible for return shipping charges. Customers will receive a credit for the amount of purchase (less shipping & handling) and a 20% destruction fee may apply.
